About Me
I am a speech and language therapist based in Cornwall, with over a decades experience working accross NHS services with children and adults. I live in south east cornwall with my husband and one year old son. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time exploring Cornwall and making the most of the outdoors. Living and working locally is important to me, and I value being a part of the community I support.
My clinical background includes supporting children and young people with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs, as well as more recent experience working with adults with acquired communication difficulties following neurological events or conditions. This breadth of experience has given me a strong understanding of how communication develops, changes and can be supported at different stages of life.
I have a specialist interest in Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs and the close link Speech, Language and Communicatoon Needs have with this.
Alongside my NHS role, I offer independent speech and language therapy services, with a particular focus on providing high-quality, detailed assessments and clear, practical recommendations that can be followed by families, schools and significant others.

My Approach
I understand that concerns about communication can feel overwhelming for families.
My aim is to provide clarity, reassurance and a clear way forward.
I take time to build a clear picture of each individuals strengths and needs, and I pride myself on offering assessments that are thorough, thoughtful and tailored.
Following assessment, I provide clear explanations and practical strategies, goals and example activiities that can be used confidently at home and in educational settings.
I work in a collaberative, supportive way with families, significant others, carers and professionals, recognising that the best outcomes come when everyone feels informed and involved.
My Experience
I have worked within NHS services accross a range of settings including:
- Primary Schools
- Secondary Schools
- Specialist Resource Based Provision for Developmental Language Disorder
- Community Clinics
- Patient Homes
- Inpatient Neuro-Rehabilitation Wards
This experience allows me to understand local pathways and systems, privide reports that are useful for schools and EHCP processes and offer realistic, practical recommendations that fit into everyday life.
Why I Choose to Offer Independent Services
I am passionate about helping individuals access timely, high quality support.
I know that waiting for answers or input can be difficult, particularly when concerns about communication are affecting an individual's confidence, learning or relationships.
By offering independent assessments, goals and advice, I aim to provide families and settings with a clear understanding of needs and a practical plan to move forwards.
